Interested in how Marin Transit services are doing? Monitoring reports are one method Marin Transit uses to track and evaluate route and service performance. Service planning decisions are based on a combination of service planning goals and performance criteria, including those based on the transit performance measures under Measure A. Safety Management Policy Statement
On July 19, 2018, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) published the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) Final Rule (49 CFR Part 673). The PTASP requires operators of public transportation systems that receive funding through FTA's Urbanized Area Formula Grants (49 USC 5307) to develop safety plans that include processes and procedures to implement Safety Management Systems. Marin Transit's Board of Directors approved the Marin Transit Safety Plan at the July 13, 2020 Board meeting. The Safety Management Policy Statement is available at the link below.
