Marin Transit is proposing changes to local bus routes and schedules to better align with current ridership demands and improve service reliability. Routes affected include: 22, 23, 23X, 29, 35, 49, 71, 219, 251, 257, 645, & 651. Marin County Transit District's Board of Directors approved Marin Transit to explore participation in the region’s means-based transit fare pilot program, which offers a 50% discount on the adult cash fare to eligible low-income riders with household incomes of 200 percent of the federal poverty level or lower. In compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Marin Transit staff will conduct Title VI Fare Equity Analysis to evaluate the proposed fare change under the Clipper START program and will start a public engagement process.

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, June 12, from 5:30-7:00 PM at Whistlestop to talk about the future of the San Rafael Transit Center.
