Notice of Public Hearing - Clipper START Pilot Program

Marin County Transit District's Board of Directors approved Marin Transit to explore participation in the region’s means-based transit fare pilot program, which offers a 50% discount on the adult cash fare to eligible low-income riders with household incomes of 200 percent of the federal poverty level or lower. In compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Marin Transit staff will conduct Title VI Fare Equity Analysis to evaluate the proposed fare change under the Clipper START program and will start a public engagement process. A public hearing will be held before the Marin County Transit Board of Directors on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to engage public discussion on Marin Transit participation in the Bay Area means-based transit fare pilot program, and receive public comment in advance of potential approval by the Marin Transit Board of Directors at their October 5, 2020 meeting. For more information please visit marintransit.org/clipperstart
