Marin Access Mobility Wallet

In July 2025, Marin Transit will begin to offer a mobility wallet that enrolled riders can use to pay for trips with a transportation provider of their choice.

The mobility wallet will be offered via a physical or digital payment card; riders can elect to receive the card in either format. The mobility wallet will be loaded with value based on the program a rider is enrolled in.

  • Intro to Mobility*: Enrolled riders will receive a mobility wallet loaded with a one-time subsidy of $200.
  • Marin Access Fare Assistance (MAFA) Mobility Wallet: Enrolled riders will receive a mobility wallet loaded a recurring subsidy of up to $200 per month. Unspent funds do not carry over each month. The maximum amount available to spend on the card in any month is $200.
  • CAR Transitional Mobility Wallet**: Enrolled riders will receive a mobility wallet loaded a recurring subsidy of up to $200 per month for a period of six-months. Unspent funds do not carry over each month. The maximum amount available to spend on the card in any month is $200.

*This program is only available for new Marin Access riders.

**The CAR Transitional Mobility Wallet is only available for riders who were determined eligible for the Marin Access Catch-A-Ride Pilot program by May 31, 2025 and that are not eligible for the Marin Access Fare Assistance program.

The mobility wallet is currently under development; more detailed information will be available here soon!
