    Route 29: Service Changes Effective March 9

    Effective

    Effective Monday, March 9, 2020, Route 29 will operate in a counter-clockwise direction only through the Canal as shown in the map below. Please note minor schedule changes with some trips cancellation on the 29 and reduced layover time at the San Rafael Transit Center.

    The new trips, along with changes to Routes 23X and 29, will create 8-minute service frequencies within the Canal during weekday peak periods.

    Route 17: Strawberry Village Service Changes Effective March 9

    Effective

    Beginning, Monday, March 9, 2020, select weekday Route 17 trips will be converted to 17X trips and will no longer serve Strawberry Village and adjacent stops east of Highway 101. Route 17X trips will also have adjusted schedules. 

    Regular Route 17 trips will continue to serve Strawberry Village, and there are no changes to weekend schedules.

    Route 35: Service Changes Effective March 9

    Effective

    Effective, Monday, March 9, 2020, Route 35 will have added service during weekday morning and afternoon peak periods between the San Rafael transit Center and the Canal. 

    The new trips, along with changes to Routes 23X and 29, will create 8-minute service frequencies within the Canal during weekday peak periods.

    Route 23X: Service Changes Effective March 9

    Effective

    Effective Monday, March 9, 2020, Route 23X will operate in a counter-clockwise direction only through the Canal as shown in the map below.

    Changes to Routes 23X and 29, as well as added trips on the Route 35, will create 8-minute service frequencies within the Canal during weekday peak periods.

    • CXT

    Connect to Expand Service Area and Change Fares

    Effective

    Connect will now service downtown San Rafael. The service area will also expand to more areas in Santa Venetia, Marinwood, and Lucas Valley. See below for new service area map.

    Connect will move to a $4 per mile distance-based fare and the transit stop discount will no longer be offered. Marin Access riders will be eligible for $3 flat fares or a $40 unlimited monthly pass option. A regular $80 unlimited monthly pass option will be available.

    Connect expanded service area
