Marin Transit offers a variety of programs and services to meet the public transit needs of residents or visitors to West Marin.
Programs and Services in West Marin
Stagecoach Routes 61 and 68
The West Marin Stagecoach routes provides daily service to destinations in West Marin, including county and state parks and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. All vehicles are wheelchair-accessible and are equipped with bike racks. Bike racks have space for at least two bikes and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Marin Access
Marin Access is a suite of programs and services offered by Marin Transit. Marin Access is designed to meet the needs of Marin County residents that are 65 years and older and people with disabilities that cannot or choose not to drive. Marin Access enrollment is easy and can be started online at www.marinaccess.org or by phone with our Travel Navigator team by calling 415.454.0902. Travel Navigators are available Monday through Friday from 10am – 4pm
- Intro to Mobility Program
- All new Marin Access clients receive a variety of subsidies and resources to help them understand their transportation options. Eligible participants receive a mobility wallet card with a one-time subsidy of up to $200 for use with transportation providers of your choice, a 31-day pass to use on Marin Transit local bus service, and access to the Travel Navigator team for assistance and support. - TRIP Volunteer Driver Program
- The TRIP Volunteer Driver Reimbursement Program offers reimbursement for up to up to 400 miles per month for residents of West Marin (TRIP). The current rate for reimbursement is $0.70 per mile, available for you to share with a driver of your choice. Learn more at https://marintransit.org/volunteer-driver.
- Marin Access Shuttles
- Marin Access offers shuttles to allow community members in West Marin to access services in the urbanized areas. These shuttles are open to the general public but do require reservations to be booked in advance. The services do not operate daily but do provide critical access to goods and services in the urbanized areas. Learn more at https://marintransit.org/marin-access-shuttles.
- Dillon Beach / Tomales Shuttle offers curb-to-curb pick-up and drop-off service between Dillon Beach, Tomales, and Petaluma on Wednesdays only.
- Point Reyes Shuttle offers curb-to-curb pick-up and drop-off service between Point Reyes Station and Novato on the first and third Mondays of each month and between Point Reyes Station to Fairfax and San Anselmo (via San Geronimo Valley) on the second and fourth Mondays.
- West Marin Connector Pilot Shuttle offers curb-to-curb pick-up and drop-off service between Stinson Beach / Bolinas and Olema / Point Reyes Station on Tuesdays and Saturdays only.
- Marin Access offers shuttles to allow community members in West Marin to access services in the urbanized areas. - Paratransit in West Marin
- West Marin is outside of the mandated service area for Marin Access paratransit service, but West Marin residents can still become eligible for paratransit.
- If you are determined eligible you will be able to travel on standby with Marin Access Paratransit and use paratransit outside of Marin County.
- If you are under the age of 65 and are eligible for paratransit, you are then eligible for all Marin Access age-based programs.
- Route Deviations for Paratransit Eligible Riders
- Stagecoach Routes 61 and 68 offer deviated service for ADA Paratransit eligible riders. ADA Paratransit eligible riders may schedule deviations within ¾ miles of the route by calling (415) 454-0902.
- Marin Access Fare Assistance
- Marin Access clients with income barriers can receive fare assistance. To qualify, clients must be enrolled in Medi-Cal or demonstrate annual income at or below the current Elder Economic Index. Eligible participants receive the following:
- A mobility wallet with a recurring subsidy of up to $200 per month for use with transportation providers of your choice.
- $300 of credit per year to use for trips on local Paratransit and Marin Access Shuttles.
- An annual pass to use Marin Transit local bus for free!
