Join us as we celebrate Transit Month in September 2025!

September is Transit Month! This September, join us in celebrating the buses, trains, and people that make the wonderful transit system we all know and ride. We’re thrilled to be joining transit agencies, transit riders, and advocates across the region to celebrate. 

Marin Transit is supporting this year’s Transit Month because we believe that everyone in Marin County and the region should have access to safe, affordable, accessible public transit. We have seen people get back on the bus and rail all year long, and our region is better for it. Transit Month is a great opportunity to build community, explore the Bay Area, raise awareness about the importance of keeping our region moving through transit, and get involved in the local organizations in your area.  Public transit not only lowers the barrier to opportunities but also combats climate change, connects people across our region, and more. 

During Transit Month, you can look forward to dozens of transit-focused events and a region-wide Ride Contest. This year’s Transit Month Ride Contest is an amazing opportunity to have fun riding transit, see more of our great city and area, and show that transit is what keeps our city moving. Every ride you log gets you closer to winning prizes and badges. All you have to do is log your ride at www.ridecontest.com and get on board!

¡Septiembre es el Mes del Transporte Público! Este septiembre, únase a nosotros para celebrar los autobuses, trenes y personas que conforman el maravilloso sistema de transporte público que todos conocemos y utilizamos. Nos entusiasma unirnos a las agencias de transporte, usuarios y defensores de toda la región para celebrar.

Marin Transit apoya el Mes del Transporte Público de este año porque creemos que todos en el Condado de Marin y la región deben tener acceso a un transporte público seguro, asequible y accesible. Hemos visto a gente volver a usar el autobús y el tren durante todo el año, y nuestra región se beneficia de ello. El Mes del Transporte Público es una gran oportunidad para construir comunidad, explorar el Área de la Bahía, crear conciencia sobre la importancia de mantener nuestra región en movimiento a través del transporte público y participar en las organizaciones locales de su area. El transporte público no solo reduce las barreras a las oportunidades, sino que también combate el cambio climático, conecta a las personas de nuestra región y mucho más.

Durante el Mes del Transporte Público, podrás disfrutar de docenas de eventos centrados en el transporte público y un Concurso de Viajes a nivel regional. El Concurso de Viajes del Mes del Transporte Público de este año es una oportunidad increíble para disfrutar del transporte público, conocer mejor nuestra gran ciudad y su área, y demostrar que el transporte público es lo que impulsa nuestra ciudad.
