Marin Transit continues to operate service to provide mobility for Marin residents during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shelter-in-place restrictions ordered throughout the Bay Area. During this unprecedented time, Marin Transit will offer Fare Free rides on our app-based, on-demand Marin Transit Connect service beginning Friday, March 20th, and until shelter-in-place restrictions are lifted.
Connect provides curb-to-curb service in accessible vans that allows individuals who rely on public transit, especially older adults and those with disabilities, to maintain their social distancing and take advantage of this service to make essential trips to work, a doctor’s office, pharmacy or grocery store. Trips will be limited to two passengers per reservation to maximize social distancing. More information on the Connect service, including service hours and the recently expanded service area, can be found at connect.marintransit.org.
