Construction has been underway since December 3, 2018 for the final phase of the State of Good Repair (SOGR) Bus Stop Improvements Project. Crews have been installing upgrades to local bus stops that improve passenger amenities and Americans with Disabilities (ADA) access.
The weather is wreaking havoc on the schedule to construct these improvements. In spite of rain being forecast intermittently over the next two weeks, the SOGR project should make some progress. Please note that there have been substantial changes to the construction schedule provided two weeks ago. The revised schedule shows the following:
This week (January 28 - February 1):
Tamalpais Drive & Madera Boulevard
✔ Install new shelter
Next week (February 4 - 8):
Magnolia Avenue at Bon Air Road
✔ Temporarily relocate stop 195 feet from current bus stop
✔ Remove sidewalk & asphalt
✔ Construct new sidewalk & pavement
✔ Install new shelter & trash receptacle
A look ahead shows the new sidewalk & a shelter at Stop #40490, Red Hill Avenue & Sequoia Drive is now scheduled for the week of February 11. If the weather cooperates, crews might get to contune the work at Redwood Boulevard & Grant Avenue, including replacing graffiti damaged panels, adding striping, and installing roadway signs.
We continue to appreciate all the support and cooperation needed to improve these stops. If you have any questions about the project or construction activity please contact me at 415-226-0855. I will be out of the office from February 1- February 8, but if you have questions during this time, Anna Penoyar can be reached at the same phone number.
